Decisions

Im 19 years old and in college full time. i've been thinking of trading in my 01 VW GTi for an 03 Evo. during the school year i don't work but i do have a good paying job full time in the summer. do you think it would be a bad decision to trade my VW in for the Evo? Any opinion is helpful. Thanks guys.

No, true cost of ownership is fairly high on these cars, especially for a college student. Unless you're mommy and daddy is paying for it then, no. If they are then go ahead.

I think you should just wait it out. The car will not be your problem, it will be the maintenance and insurace cost. Just wait, save money and get the car later on.

Im a full time student myself, just like you I work full time during breaks. However I still work part-time while in school, to pay for the evo and to have extra money for myself. The maintenance on the evo will be higher. Plus like most ppl here, after you get the evo you will want extra money to go on mods. My suggestion is no, the payments will be higher and the maintenance, unless you get a good paying part-time job....
