Very safe if installed properly and tune properly, can destroy the engine and catch on fire if you do shortcut with the installtion and definately potential engine damage if you don't get it tune by a decent tuner.

Don't get confused, my car was significantly faster when I was running my car with the SMC kit activated and no tune than before I installed the SMC kit. It was running richer but a bit faster though..

 

Nice setup Carols...I pushed the black ventilation bracket in and the tank fits nicely...I am mounting mine so the pump is facing forward and the edge of the tank is on the outside of the metal trim (I'll post some pictures soon)...I am also considering securing the pump with another bracket and would love some suggestions...(The guys at the race shop are busting on me for working on my car, but I want this setup installed and enjoy working on the car ...)

Finally, what peak boost are you running (still 28psi)? I am considering 27 - 28 psi range for my 9. Thanks again for your input.
