I wonder...i've been reading alot about the shifter feeling a bit notchy to the point that you can really speed shift or you'll miss the gears....would a different transmission oil help....cause i'm still deciding between the Evo and the STi.

The STi looks to have a little more grunt, espeically off the line, but they should be close. It will probably come down to driver in most situations, with a slight edge in favor of the STi.

I saw a guy testing the STi for subaru and his fastest 1/8 mile time was 8.62 at Qualcomm in San Diego. Pretty fast off the line. I was impressed. I have a lot of videos of it i just need help wid my friend to put it on the computer.

It's the mitsubishi shifters. I've driven a few evos already and I've never missed a shift when driving hard. Then again, I've been driving mitsus for some time now. I'm used to the notchy, picky shifters. People have trouble shifting my eclipse all the time but when I drive, the gears go in like a knife through butter. This car is a new feeling for a lot of you. I'd give it a few months until your shifting is flawless. It's not a bad tranny.......it's just the way mitsu makes them. Once you get used to it you'll love it. It's all about clutch/shift timing.

Are there any previous/current DSM owners that have problems shifting in here?

Sorry guys alot of these are BS or the cars you raced where broken..

From a roll alot of these cars have better power to weight ratio, so you guys are full of it..

I own an evo, and it is a great car, but stock will be eaten by alot of cars on a roll.

First race encounter, Some fixed up integra.. Saw him smoke a mustang at the light.. then busted a U turn and lined up next ot me at the light.. He went first.. and i just wasted him

2nd race.. Some cocky white guy in bevery hills.. Thinking i'm just a little lancer with a bodykit.. I gave him the Look, while waiting for the light ot turn green.. when it did I eased it out, hopping the m3 would race on a roll.. But it didn't and put like 4 cars on me, while i was gaining the whole way.. but it was too late.. the M3 won..

3rd race.. some middle age guy.. in his new blue covertte not a z06.. nice color.. with the top down.. I asked him if he wanted to race, he said no you probalby smoke me.. then he proceed to say his car can go 170mph on the freeway.. and i was like oh cool

So my street record is 2-1

A Z06 would blow the doors off an evo. Good thing you didnt race. Get your mods then race one.
