you are feeling a loss in torque. this has been covered before. the factory muffler had a backpressure plate in it to increase the torque. without backpressure, you'll have less torque.
Less backpressure = quicker spool = more torque.
i got a question for those who goes to a shop to get oil changed... its about time to get my oil change... since they will have to go under your car.... do you think the shop will report something if they don't see an cat??

i think the kids that change your oil have better things to do. i would be more worried about them actually changing you oil and filter than whether or not they are gonna notice/report your catless exhaust.

my bad on the 2.75" exhaust.
+1 on them changing your oil! make sure you check afterwards, mienke "changed" my oil and i had to change it again. The oil i drained was black as night.

I felt the same way when I installed my Buschar TBE. Then I raced my buddies stock SRT-4 and completely destroyed him.
Plus all my friends say they can tell from the outside of the car that i'm pulling harder. So dont worry to much about it.
