Well I just purchased my evo 9 mr, and I dont really regret it. However, if the s4 is in your range and for what your paying I would go for it. When leasing I dont think modding will really be much of an option so for the money the s4 with it's luxury is a better choice in my opinion and I dont think you would be sacrificing a whole hell of alot in terms of speed over the mr.

Get the Audi. It's more business like and will please some clients.

Half of the posts on this thread were made on just reading the first post. Guys, read the rest of the thread because it's really annoying reading about your answers when the thread has already developed past "modding and not modding". sorry my lil rant. friggin finals..

I understand all of your posts that 800 plus per month is a lot of money and for the same money I could get the S4 and that the interior is much nicer although more cramped than the evo. That is why I have this dilemma. I would really love to get the evo like I mentioned, it just seems rediculous to spend so much for the evo when I could get an audi. It sounds like a tie between the audi and the evo.

$800+/mo is too much for either car but if your company's gonna pay anyway, why not get whichever car you like better? who cares which one is a "better deal".

With the power these new IXs are making I'de say the IX plus the new interior looks great. Another plus is that the back seat is also bigger on the IX than in the Audi. The only thing that you might want to do is take the wing off so that it looks more refined for business.

Wink

honestly there is no way i would pay over $700/month for a 4 banger no matter what it is. since your leasing, GET THE NICEST CAR you can afford. you're not gonna fix it up cuz then you'll have to take everything back off at end of lease. besides, Audi's attract hot chicks, EVO's attract pimply face guys... think about it.

Okay... another opinion from an ex-S4 Twin Turbo owner.. Great cars - lots of problems. Reliability is sort of low, especially if you track or run it hard. I had mind chipped making around 330 hp with 390 lb tq. Very fast and fun, however extremely heavy for tracking and serious competition. If you are considering a confortable, stylish and reasonably fast daily driver the S4 is a great choice. However, the B6 S4 V8 does not have the butt-dyno quick acceleration like the older S4 Twin Turbo or EVO have. I had also heard so much about the awesome V8 sound, but was very disappointed when I drove it. Do remember that you'll have to live with 13 mpg city as compared to about 20 mpg (EVO).

EVO is your pure performance and fast-n-furious car; my lap times with my chipped S4 are about 2-3 seconds slower compared to my stock EVO. The EVO is a crazy fast and awesome handling machine. Choose based on your priority. I've had both; got tired of the S4's mechanical issues and chose raw performance over luxury. I'm very happy with the EVO.
