2006 Audi S4 or 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution 9 MR
I must lease my next car (unfortunately) and I narrowed it down to 2 cars. First the Audi S4 and second the Evo 9 MR. The Evo 9 MR lease payments are 823.64 for 36 months/15,000 miles per year, while the Audi S4 leases (same terms) for 868 per month. I really wanted the evo (a much faster and better handling car) but for 45 dollars more per month, I get a nearly fully loaded Audi S4 with luxury. What do you think is the best decision for me? Thanks in advance.

If you ever plan to Solo2/Auto-X, road race, drag race, or modify your car, I would recommend the EVO. If you are looking for a daily driver and will never race/modify your car, I would recommend the S4. I am pretty sure I ran faster laptimes than every Audi S4 I went against this summer with my 4-door grocery getter HS Focus if that tells you anything regarding the typical car/driver combination.

wtf 800 a month for a lease? are u krazy... u can goddamit buy an Evo like that. Thats some bogus numbers for leasing an Evo. The numbers are not suppose to be that high. For now the S4, try goin back and tell them their full of it. It shouldnt be that high period.

The salesman told me that leasing the evo is stupid. For the price of leasing the car I could own it but I MUST lease my next car. The car is going to be a company car and in NYC (Queens, Long Island City), the law is that one may not spend over a certain amount 3 years prior to the signing of new property and 3 years after. Our building cost (and remember this is a business and yes we took a morgage) 9 million and the cap is 10. Plus we had many repairs and bills which must be included. My father and grandmother own the place and they bought 2 Jaguars which cost 40,000 a piece. So now I must lease. This is a very stupid law but that is the law and it cannot be changed. That is why I must lease or buy the car myself without the company.

That's $29,000 over 36 months... WTF crack is being smoked. Retail the car is $35,000.
What's the money factor and residual value? $7,000 after 3 years

I traded my 04 S4 for the 8MR.I loved the interior of the S4 and it had class and style but after 3700 miles the tranny went out. After that the a/c went out and last but not least the car got about 7 mpg when I would drive it fast which was most of the time.
Now I'm thinking of trading up to a 9 because the interior is much improved along with a number of other things
Bottom line,I love the Evo.
By the way,the Evo has more interior room which I need because I have 2 kids and its cheaper to insure at least in Cali.

Its a company expense and I understand your situation. I personally would go with the audi if your not going to modify if, and the evo if you were.
The lease payments are just numbers and kind of meaningless in the big scheme of things, good luck with the purchase. The fun begins when you can lease over 100k cars.
