Sorry to see that and all but when i went to check out the IX 3 weeks ago, the first thing the salesman recommended if the car was gonna be driven year round was blizzaks for the snow. Why do people insist on driving on Advans. Its like a M/T on ice, it'll only stop if something stops it.

Bozeman, MT. i grew up in Missoula (other side of the state) and winters are harsh! but it helped me become a better snow driver. after digging your car out of a ditch in sub-zero weather you learn what you CAN & CAN'T do in snow & ice! good luck w/ the repairs and remember in the end you were able to walk away and thats the best thing in life!

i was drivin this morning in the snow and still have my advans on. i was goin like 15 down a slight hill. and i drifted sideways the whole way down. so as of the next time i have a chance i goin to buy some snow tire or at least some all weather tires so i can get these damn things off

I appriciate all the concern. Missoula is on the same side of the state 200 miles away. Little more detail: I was driving complely normal but there is a 2 inch deep trench in the road and the low profile pulled the car into the ditch, I'm sure snow tires would have helped but I dont know if they would have avoided it completely. The right side of the car took out a power poll support cable, it sliced into the fender a foot and a half. The left side hit a metal mail box post about 4 inches in diameter. Both headlights where pretty much chopped in half.

heres where it stopped:

I cried a little.

I can't believe with all the threads about the Advans in the snow people still don't get it

If you can't afford snow tires think about it this way. Wreck = thousands.. Snow tires = 5-800 bucks.

That really sux tho man.. hope you get it back together!

I'll post more pics when i can.
sorry to hear. we had our first snowfall yesterday, about 3 inches, i was at work when it started snowing, im on stock advans.

I called my wife and said to pick me up, i left my car at work. its still there lol. but i will NOT drive the damn thing in snow after reading about horror stories here.

i have falken ziex 512 all seasons in the pipeline and the car will stay at work until they arrive.

again, another example not to use advans in the winter.
