How many of you drive your Evos everyday?
I bought my evo w/the original intention of it being a daily driver, but everytime I see my Dad he is always like "you dont need to be driving that everyday, you putting too much into it..." Now I plan to build the evo (instead of just the bolt-ons I have now)... Its been a great daily driver, Ive had some issues w/ it (ie, 2 transmissions, new bushings, fading wing, fading calipers...) but other than that 35,500 and counting!! and I just purchased a 98 GS-T for a daily driver, so we will see if I can pass up driving the evo everyday
I drive mine everyday and its got 36000miles on it and its an 05 bought 8 months ago, thats a real daily driver, also just got to working after drving it in the snow the second day this winter
I drive my husband's car to work, I let him drive my Evo cuz we only live less than 2 miles from his work and I don't wanna rack up miles in my car. If I really had my way, he would walk to work and just garage the Evo, only taking it for weekends or whatever. The Evo sucks on gas mileage, and I wanna keep the miles low on it, planning to keep it as long as possible.
i put 1800 miles on my car the first month (breaking it in, etc) but i doubt i'll put more than 10K on it a year especially now that I moved and my job is like 5 miles away as opposed to 22.
I daily drove my Evo for about a year. When my wife got a new car, we kept her old one (120K mile automatic Saturn LS2, that still runs great).
It's nice having a beater that's easy to drive in traffic, and is easy on gas. IMO, the cost of Evo breaks and tires isn't worth wasting on rush hour traffic.

When I go from the Saturn to the Evo it's night and day and I hate it

FYI I have been daily driving evos for almost 3 years now
My '03 EVO was a daily driver from April '03 until November '05. Put just over 62k on it, and I recently bought a '94 Civic EX for daily driving duties. As of lately, my EVO was averaging 18mpg. The beater Civic gets 31mpg, and with the amount of miles I drive during the week the savings almost entirely pays for the Civic. And driving the EVO on the weekends only makes me enjoy driving it even more.
Eating Filet Mignon all the time gets old. But having crappy McDonalds all week and Filet Mignon only on the weekends makes it taste better.

I'm thinking of selling the M3 (my daily driver) and making the evo the daily driver. I bought her in november and only have about 200miles on her. Snow days like today makes me wonder why I have awd and a rear wiper for.
