Evo taking in Water!!!
if you still on the factory windshield,i would highly doubt thats what it is... if you have a sunroof, it could be coming from there.. usually the drain holes don't get clogged up until the car is relatively old, however it is possible... another thing you can check is the air conditioner... usually when it leaks on the passenger side, thats the culprit...

take a look at the lower left corner near your left foot above that you will see wire cover running to the left fender , make sure it's not pushed . i had the same this on my 05 after i put the avs-r wires into it.

you may have leaves in the heater case clogging the evap drain
Just to update....
Took the car to the dealer....
They were very professional about it. Said if it was a defect they'd cover it and if not it was on me. Well I knew it wasn't me but I guess the service advisor just had to say it.
Turned out a grommet on the kickpanel on the whell well was loose and a harness that was in place got loose. So they sealed it up and dried the carpets out.
Overall was satisfied...
will see if the problem is fixed.
BTW the dealer was a Blacklisted Dealer, Fountain Mitsubishi, in Orlando Florida

When was the last time you checked under the rubber mat? If it's been a while since you checked, it could be because of the rubber mat you have in your car. The one draw back of having a rubber mat is that the moisture underneath the mat won't evaporate as fast as having the factory carpet mat, so the little-to-none moisture that does get underneath the mat will stay there over time. A friend of mine had that problem with his truck, he had some rubber mat put and and by the time he realized the moisture accumulated underneath has already rusted out the metal.
