11 lbs. isn't that much is it? If you want CHANGE don't you have to lose 100 lbs. to gain a horse or something roughly like that?

Okay fine. I'm telling you what it says on Mitsubishi's Dealer Link.

NASCAR Tech boys quoted "15hp to overcome every 100lbs"... not sure what their math or reasoning is...

I didn't say it was a big change.

The trunks where never aluminum. Try and put a magnent on the trunk and find out for yourself. It will stick. It will however not stick to the front fenders, hood and roof (mr) since those are aluminum

05 GSR headlights could weigh less because they didnt come with fogs come with fogs and the IX's do now. I know thats not much more weight but it is weight.

I also thought of the new seats cloth vs leather weight like the guy above but that could hardly change anything. Would a sunroof add weight? Not sure if all IX's have sunroofs but that could be another.

Slightly bigger body kit on IX could be it also.

Haha, el producto, no. The 05 GSR had either SSL or no SSL. The ones with SSL had the leather, sunroof, and HIDs. The ones without SSL had none of that. It's the same with the IXs - either SSL or no SSL. The weights listed above are for the VIIIs and IXs without SSL, so none of them have fog lamps, sunroofs, or leather. Yes, the sunroof adds about 40lbs. The SSL versions weigh over 3300.

I wasn't using it during that run, because I no longer need to use it on pump gas. I currently only use it to tune for race gas. It's also not a part I recommend to the average Evo owner, because there's a lot involved (wideband, logger, learning to tune), and it's a fairly weak tuning device.

Biggest thing is the lighter wheels... They cause for better accelleration and decelleration...
