Mini battery tray

I know some places want to sell you a whole kit with the battery and all for like $180+ but I'm just looking for the tray.

With all the copy cat exhausts and manifolds out there I figure some vendor had to have made an inexpensive mini battery tray?

No it's not the cheapest, but the quality and functionality is top-notch and works with any combo of intake,i/c piping mods you decide to go with (unlike most other trays). You drive and Evo dude, Home Depot parts under the hood of your $30,000+ car.... Sorry if you don't want to spend the money, I was just trying to help you out.

I do appreciate the help. Having a 30k car doesn't mean all the parts for it have to be over priced. Where do you think the material for that $119.00 battery tray came from anyway, the same place HD get there stuff... think about it.

No problem, actually I designed the tray and it involved MANY hours of measuring, AutoCad, re-makes, etc to make it perfect that makes the price where it's at. Good luck with whatever you end up going with, a mini battery safes a lot of under-the-hood space and I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you plan on doing.

I brought a mini battery from a member here, after that went to home depot. $8.68 later I had my mini battery kit. So in all it cost me $88.68. It took me about an hour to fabricate and install the kit.

$119 for a sheet metal piece does seem a bit steep. I assumed it was a CNC milled piece until I checked that link. I guess you guys don't sell enough to keep the fab cost down? Nice design though.

My thoughts exactly on that piece. Unless you make your own, you're going to pay the price. Both of these trays have excellent reviews from other members and both have sold MANY pieces. One is CNC'd, the other is bent annodized aluminum. All depends what look you are going for and if you plan on attaching an oil-catch can, using stock or aftermarked intake and if you're using stock or aftermarket intercooler piping. If you decide to make one on your own, make sure it's sturdy enough (even mini batteries have some weight to them) and fits good to avoid movement. Post some pics when you're done!

the nisei is 129 for the tray only... and it is machined aluminum, you get what you pay for.

The description should justify how much R&D was involved...

Power-Division Tie down for Lancer Evolution VIII. Our kit offers some things the rest don't we are NDRA and NHRA Legal. The Power-Division kit will work with the factory air box, our kit has been test fitted with the Injen CAI with upper intake pipe, the LPI pipe kit, the UR hard pipe kit, and it also works with the factory piping. The Power-Division kit also has mounting holes for a catch we offer a Power-Division Catch can that is of the highest quality at a price that is easy on the wallet.

Different options: Battery Tie Down by it self with all hardware; Battery Tie down with hardware and an Odyssey Battery; Battery Tie down with hardware and Catch Can; Battery Tie down with hardware, Odyssey Battery, and Catch Can.
