just got a subscription to road 'n track for 8bucks a year...gonna see how that is...
SCC: problem with their project cars are, they seem to be short of funds or parts...so that's why it takes them like 2 years to do 3 mods. They seem to be given the parts or purchase it themselves out of their own pockets.

RNT for $8?? RNT +C&D for $17? I got ripped off, I paid $12 for only RNT.

Import Tuner, R & T, Car & Driver, Chevy High Performance, knew you'd like that one. Got my 350 in the machine shop, can you say 383 with JE low compression pistons, splayed main caps, and close to 700 horsepower. Late.

The best general car magazine (not for modifications) is AutoWeek, hands down. They scoop everyone on new models because it comes out every week.

For mods, I like Grass Roots and SCC.

If you are worried about a few bucks for a couple of magazine subscriptions, you have absolutely no business modifying or tracking your EVO. The first little mod will cost 10 x all the subscriptions, and that's just the very beginning.

Turbo and SCC are staple subscriptions for anyone with an Evo.. lots of love for the Evo from both. Sport Rider, Road Racing World, and Road Racer X are great, if you're into that sort of thing... i know i am.

If you just love cars, all of them, especially the expensive ones, check out an issue of EVO- Sure it's $150 for a year subscription but the content and quality blow most if not all other car magazines out of the water.

Modified is pure garbage imo. They don't know $hit about cars. The writers are total tools. The magazine reads like it was written by 4th graders who watched 2fast2furious one too many times.... bad grammar, bad spelling, and bad cliches.

Subscription for EVO magazine should be $100/year. I have had mine for about 10 months now, and it is the BEST magazine for cars period!

I have to say DSport and Turbo, They are good for Drag racing. Then SCC for a lot of the tuning articles and suspension related articles. It seems like most are focused on drag racing. Not to many go for road racing, kind of sucks.

Actually, there is a magazine I think is better than EVO. It's the British publication "Top Gear." I know most of you have seen the TV program, Jeremy Clarkson and the EVO beating the Murcielago, but the print magazine is really terrific. You have to order it from England and it's about $100 per year, but it kicks azz.

I have suscribitions to...

Sport Compact Car

and for X-mas, just got....

Turbo

These are my two favorite mags, but yes it is stupid that SCC is getting smaller and smaller.

I used to read Super Street, but when the redid everything, that mag went to ****. Got a couple Modified mags but there no good.

The only 2 magazines that I read is Option2 and Drift Tengoku. even thru I cannot read Japanese(haha) but I see new bumpers/bodykits/wheels/turbos/new HKS RS reloaded intake/new TBE/new JDMs.

and Drift Tengoku = fun to read (well I can only read the pictures)

I believe Option2 will soon open subscriptions for US. and it will be called

Personally I like to search Playboy for car articles, but sometimes I get distracted.
