But whatever!Hey if you don't want to take good advice, that's your problem, but complaining about people who give good advice? Now that's hating.
At least from the pictures you took, the output isn't nearly as bad as in some other cars with halogen projectors, like the integra or s13. Consider yourself luckier than others, but keep in mind your output is nowhere near what it could be if you had HID projectors.

All I'm saying is that you say the same thing, it would be "better" if you had HID projectors; "wow madd" hott spots. It's advice but not necessary good, just your opinion.
What are we Evo owners that have halogen projectors gonna go get HID projectors cause you say so? or If we have hotspots did we know? Why don't you elaborate...than making your "better" "madd" "nearly as bad" comments.
So I guess every Evo Ix owner or VIII owner w/ these certain projectors that get HIDs, you're gonna say the same thing
Well, when I get my HIDs soon and start a thread, I hope you leave it off my thread, cause I've read it before and yes I've done research about hotspots and no I'm not going to spend anymore money on hid projectors...I just bought a EVO IX! And yes most HIDS are way better than stock
LOL sorry for the rant, mods you may delete! I just don't like those guys comments.

Nah I'm not offended, just trying to defend my position here. I come from the school of thought that says that if you don't do it right, don't do it at all, and in MY opinion, rebased HID kits are never the right way to do it. Crappy output aside, rebased HID kits are notorious for their failure rates. McCulloch especially has had a bad rap, although lately I hear a lot of vendors claim that their latest generation equipment no longer has issues (we'll see how those claims turn out in a year or two).
Just to clear it up, my comment made in this thread was not advice, it was a comment. My "advice" was given in the other threads, so I don't need to elaborate there.
The part where I get slightly confused is when people say they've spent $32k on a car and refuse to spend the extra $100-$200 for something like projectors on their way to getting HID. Seems way out of proportion to me. Oh and in case you're wondering, that price range covers Bosch projectors ($100 off hidplanet) to the fancier TSX projectors ($200 on eBay). If you're worried about the work involved in replacing the halogen projector, I understand, but it's really not that bad. If it was, you wouldn't see huge communities like hidplanet that have people who retrofitted projectors from everything from a Honda Accord to a Chevy Trailblazer.
Like I said, the output doesn't look as bad as it could be, so don't take offense to my comments as if I had said "that looks like ****", because that's not what I'm saying here.
Hopefully by reading this thread and others like it, people at least get the idea that there's the possibility of having a better setup out there, and that's really all that matters. Since it doesn't look like the light is scattering everywhere (as it would in crappier setups), I'm not overly worried about HID kitted Evo owners blinding oncoming traffic, so it's not as big a deal here if you get HID projectors or not. If you have hot spots, you know it... they look like the light is all focused in one (or sometimes multiple) areas instead of being an even distribution.

You seem like you know alot about HIDs. What would be the the best if not one of the HID kits out there? Also why would you say you need different projectors? The projectors off the EVO IX w/o HIDs are the same as the projectors with HIDs. So what would be the best stock looking HID kit?

The Evo IX HID projectors are the same as those w/o HID? Interesting. How's that work? Sorry I'm not too familiar with the new IX and its headlight assembly. A HID bulb is much longer than a halogen bulb and therefore has a different focal point, so the optics would turn out to be completely different. Unless of course the projectors are as versatile as the Valeo's found off an A4, in which case a simple adapter on the back of the projector turns the halogen projector into a perfect HID projector.

is best.it's been said before (by me) that as long as YOU don't mind the hot spots and less than perfect cut-off, then a kit is the way to go to save money for brighter output.
OEM HID projectors/HID's will attract less attention (from police, etc.) than the halo-effect/glare coming from a halogen projector equipped with aftermarket HIDs.
plain and simple truth.
