Yes, but the majority are bad no matter where you are. The salesman that is intriciately knowledgable of his product line is more the exception than the rule. That is the point. Obviously, not ALL salesmen and ALL dealerships are bad, but the VAST MAJORITY of them are clueless.

The dealer in my area is SWEET! They're mod friedly and LOVE evos, since they see them so rarely. When i got my brand new turbo and engine warrantied from them, they said they've only sold 6 Evo's in the last 3 years and they no longer keep them in stock. I guess the sales guys would take them out after hours and a few got damaged. Heh.... I'd probably do the same thing

Folks, correct me if I am wrong, but I think Lancerdealer is the only one to take the statement as pointing the finger at ALL dealers. I am sure we are all intelligent enough to know that there are some great dealers out there somewhere. I am lucky enough to live by one of the best. The owner is a National Champ EVO racer, and the salesman who sold me the EVO has owned an EVO and a huge array of DSMs and 4G63 powered vehicles.

The original poster's question has been answered. This thread should be closed.

I wish I knew as many of them as you. Then I too would be able to say that a majority is bad. I don't presume to know any of them, therefore I will reserve judgement for the ones that I have personally experienced.

Anyone want to shed light on this? I dont see how its possible.
He might've been talking about compressor surge from NOT having a BOV stalling the compressor wheel. Maybe that could bend the impeller fins?

And I don't see how a deteriorating BOV would damage your turbo unless it's plumbed back into the intake.

For some salespeople all it is , is a job to them. They know just enough to get by. And thats what makes a good and a bad salesperson

EVOlutionary made a good point. My question was answered and im worried that this could get very opinionated. Dealer's knowledge varies, its common sense. It just so happens im right next to one of the "uninformed" ones. But then again, isnt that what this forum is for? To discuss topics like the one presented to me in an effort to disprove or support information given?
