Well guys I ran into a big problem and need some help. Heres my synario I have a 03 evo and I installed and WR turbo w/ high pressure actuator, FIC 750 injectors, Works 65mm throttle body, Helix IC pipe kit, Works 3inch 02 housing, Agency Power fuel rail, and Works BOV. I put the stock air intake back in with the works air filter. I had everything tuned by works I have a custom P2R flash. So heres my problem when the car is in gear or in neuteral it will only go up to 4800RPM and then it hits either a rev limiter or a fuel cut I can't tell I personaly thought they were the same. I checked everything to make sure everything is hooked up and it looks good to me. Is there something that I could have missed? Could the flash be bad? I haven't adjusted the throtlebody at all yet either so it idles at around 1500RPM. Any help would be great thanks guys and have a merry christmas.

You put the stock airbox back on right? Did you also re-install the stock intake snorkel? If so, did you actually put the clips in to fasten it down to the front bumper? I hope this is it, but I don't think so, since it is happening at 4800rpm and even in neutral.
You say you were custom tuned by Works. Didn't they go above 4800rpm when tuning it? Did it change and start doing this after the custom tune?
Btw, hitting the rev limiter just makes a fast popping noise, and your rpms flutter at the rev limiter while fuel is cutoff, but not like fuel cut. When you hit fuel cut, it's like hitting a brick wall and all your power goes away instantaneously. It's a very disturbing feeling. This feeling can also occur when an IC pipe blows off under boost.

ok well then its a rev limeter for sure then. It doesn't matter what gear its in it will only go up to 4800rpm then it hits the limiter. The works p2r is a Brain Flash P2R represents an upgrade to the Brain Flash P2 by modifying the two-stage rev limiter. It never did this before the flash. I put the stock intake in correctly just as you asked above. Is there anything else? Has anyone ever gotten a bad flash? Heres is a link to the flash I have too

Maybe the rev limiter has been mistakenly set at 4800rpm? I thought you said it was custom tuned. That would mean it was done in person on a dyno or on the street. Did you just receive a mail-in type flash?
well its a mail in flash that is tuned for my mods that are on my car so thats what they call a custom tune at works. no it wasn't done in person. I wish it was then I don't think I would have this problem. I think its the 2 stage rev limiter too. I will have to call them next week hopefuly they will know. I can't think of anything elese that it could be. thanks guys

I'm no expert by any means, but it sounds like there's a problem with the flash. Call Works, I'm sure they'll make things right.
Did you upgrade your fuel pump? My understanding is that Works strongly reccomends an upgraded fuel pump with the WR. Probably even more so with the 750cc injectors.

Since u did change the throttle body, u had to have unplugged the tps, which im assuming evo's still have like all other cars. If this was still unplugged or u pull a wire out of this harness, im sure this could happen.

thanks for all the help though josh this thing is killing me. the tps is pluged in and I checked all the wires and they are pluged in as well. I do have a walbro fuel pump installed. Here is a total list of all my mods

it does it both ways. dead stop or moving in gear or in nuetral either way it does it. It also idles at 1500 I thought it was just warming up but it never went down sorry but I just noticed this
sounds to me your pr2 flash is not correct for the mods you have
did you list of all your mods (not leaving any out) to works before the flash?
speaking of mods, for your amount, shouldnt you be getting an in-house tune instead of mail-in flash?

well I had the works p2 and most of the mods already I just added some more things and since I already had the flash the update was free and they said they have a flash for all of my mods so I went with them again. I know of a few people with the same mods running with there tune. I live in the sticks and there isn't anyone remotely close to even tune a evo. I didn't leave out any of my mods when I talked to them and also I mailed them a list as well. I also think it is the flash. the 2 stage rev limiter is set wrong I think. Also the idle is wrong as well.
