EVO IX's
Break in is BS. Just drive it hard from the get go. I took delivery of my '04 RS with about 300 miles on it because HB Mitsu had to trade for a car in San Diego and drive it to the dealership. I changed the oil a couple of days later, and then drove it to Spring Mtn. Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump NV that Friday. On Saturday morning, it saw it's first taste of the racetrack with 721 miles on the odo.

well i guess i have to retract my original statement i posted about my disappoinment with the launching of the IX. Like i stated this is my first awd car didnt know how to "correctly" launch the car and after reading some tips in some of the forums i got one hell of a launch on xmas eve night taking a family member for a ride. After the ride was over and we got back to the house he kept rubbing his neck saying that he thinks he may have wip lash and didnt expect that out of a "four banger". Im still pretty horable at launching the car but hopefuly with a little more practice and help from everyone on here i beleive i will improve by leaps and bounds so the car can have the drive it deserves.

My fiance and I just bought one the day after thanksgiving and we love it. This is her first high performace sports car and this is my first awd. I had a 99 gst for my last car and there is no comparison. So me and her are new to the awd scene, but the only thing that im a little dissapointed in is the lauching of the vehicle, but other than that this is one bad beast.

good thread.... i am debating on getting an 05 or 06 right now.... i was a little worried about getting one of those new engines to begin with bc i didn't know if they would have alot of problems.... but now it looks like they are all running great.

Stock for stock it's a much bigger differance than I expected (compared to my previous 03 & 04)...
