When are you RS haters gonna get around the fact that the RS is built as a base for a race car and if someone wants to go that route then whats wrong with it? The RS is lighter, has the front LSD, is geared quicker, etc. If someone wants to live without power windows, AC, etc then why not? Hell, I've pulled everything out of a car to include the window washer bottle to save weight for better track times -AND- I drove that car everyday. It was brutally loud, hot, and an unforgiving ride - and I loved every minute of it.

For some people, its perfectly fine to have to hand crank the windows down to let air in on a hot day. That doesnt make them cheap, morons, or idiots. As the Original Post stated - the RS is more of a drivers car - its a direct connection to the road, with no frills to take away from what you are in the car for... driving.

Well put I like my girlfriends "04" (Evil you Idiot) RS better than my 03. I keep asking her to trade

I agree 100%, it would be like an RS owner bashing an MR owner for paying x amount more...I totally understand those that get the MR, or the SSL or the standard...they each have a unique appeal.

To me the RS is like a GT3 or Stradale on a slightly smaller budget

I love my RS. I'm a very tolerant guy and can careless bout power windows or no cd player. If a car doesnt come with a cd player then buy your own!! The RS models come pre-wired for speakers and a cd player. I think the RS's are the best bang for the buck.

are you serious, the RS is amazing, however, I do agree that the RS wouldnt be a great daily driver. Although, I woundnt mind it if I had another car like the owner does, so what is your point??? It seems that you are just mad that he "bashed" your precious 03 (which is already amazing!) and you got pissy, the RS is a better drivers car, the point is its stripped and focused, its not a cheap tin can! I dont even know what to say about your last sentence, is it a joke?

You guys are hilarious, lol. I just wanted the lightest Evo in production, it just happens to be the RS. The MR is cool but the RS is faster around the course, heck i could've gotten an MR no problem.

If i did buy an MR i would be kicking myself because for 5k more i would have bought an Elise!

Evo X? You people are retarded, i would never drive a sports car that isn't a "hand shaker", not to mention it'll be priced close to the Elise.

not to agree or disagree with anyone about their personal preference, but the RS in in no way a better car then the any of the other models...
http://www.mitsucars.com/MMSA/jsp/la...pecs.jsp?t=all
...just like the other models are no better then the RS....It's not like you're buying a Dodge Charger base and compare that with the Hemi version....
....it's just fantasy that one model Evo is a race ready Evo and the other is not a race ready car becasue it has some nice comforts like PW or ABS(which is really good by the way)....but like I said earlier I don't want to ruin anyone's fantasy...and let's get the X over here already...I need a new Evo...

haha nice

I like my RS, but I miss the power locks... I don't care about the power windows though. I thought it was weird not having power mirrors as well, but then again, I really don't adjust them that often.

I rock the RS after selling off a regular 8, kinda thinking about how I should have waited for the 9 but I have no complaints. Raw and racing go hand in hand so of course that's what my EVO does. I drive a slow Audi during the day...neither have radios and I drive 50k a year!!

<< Insane.

I've been thinking about trading in for an IX RS, but it would really have to depend on NOT being able to get a favorable deal on a GSR. Now that everyone gets front LSD, and aluminum roofs, the appeal of the RS just isn't that great. You're only losing around 50lbs by deleting the creature comforts, so unless it's a dedicated track car, I'd say your savings are pretty negligable.

It's not a big deal, but I think only the RS and MR get the tin roof
