Anyone drift their Evo?

I've been drifting my IX recently, and was wondering about a few things.
I usually initial the slide either by a scandanavian flick or ebrake, depending on the situation (wet/dry/speed, ect) then gassing it to maintain/control the drift.
4WDs are considerably different then rear, in my opinion, because you can easily brake the drift by simply fully countersteering or releasing the throttle.
Anyone else out there drift their Evo? Also, do you guys think the trans, and the diffs, can take the punishment? My friends and I think it should be fine because of the mechanical diffs, and the fact that its made after a World Rally Championship car.
My main concern is that I heard some people having problems when they spin out, and they get a CEL. I have yet to get one, and also when I use the ebrake, I lock the rears momentarily, do you think that could damage the transmission on a 4wd car?

As stupid as ppl may think it is, I fully plan on attending some local DGTrials events and practicing getting my Evo sideways. I figure either I'll make an *** outta myself or get public attention for drifting an AWD car... either way, I'm sure it'll be fun as hell.

Why not? lol. I drifted rwd cars, so why not AWD? They are completely different experiences, plus I think a 4wd looks cooler.

Yeah! I saw that Rhys clip, its awesome, but I don't want to lose my AWD capabilities... wish we could convert from rwd, to awd with a flick of a magic switch...

I recently drifted mine 3 days in a row in an empty parking lot and my friend has videos. I will ask him if he can give them to me so I can post them up on here. Man theres nothing like going 50mph and then cutting the wheel sliding sideways and then taking off again around a big *** pile of snow. lol

I am because its rainy and slippery here. I only take my car out when its not snowing or when the snow is melted.

I think its good to learn how to drift because its kinda like kung fu or karate in the sense that you know how to save your *** when you need to, but hopefully you won't ever need to.

I dont specifically go to drift events......but almost any high speed event can include a four wheel power slide. Also on lapping days that get rain.....I slide the car every chance I get.

I really dont think AWD is capable of competing in a true dift event because you would need much more than 400HP and suspension/alignment specifically for drifting. I dont think I would want to ruin my EVO by making it a drift car. If drifting is your thing there are much better platforms that can be had for a few grand.

Sideways isn't the fastest way around the track.
