wanted to see what my car could do up top.

got up to around 157. when i let off of the gas i look in the rear view morror and there are some sparks flying out the back....

anyone know what could be causing this.. ?

never seen that happen on the Evo (yet ) but sounds like what happened on a Nissan Maxima a friend had after an extended high speed run when parts of the exhaust started to melt

check your exhaust system's integrity first

WAS anything dragging on the ground?

 

Is the car lowered?

 

it is the fiberglass burning up in the muffler, without a cat it gets hotter and little filiments in the exhuast burn up and fly out, no big deal

 

It's the kid on the tricycle that you ran over @ 138mph and dragged him to 157
