Stock Gauge Replacement?

I am planning on installing a Hallman MBC am realizing I will most likely need to replace my current boost gauge. I currently have the Mitsubishi sports gauge package and see that the boost only goes to 1.5 kg/sq.cm ~ 21.7 psi. Therefore if I am getting any 25 psi spikes I won't really be able to tell. I only plan on running 21 psi anyways but figure I would be better off getting a more capable gauge.

Does anybody know of a boost gauge that could be a direct fit for the the stock gauge. Also could I use the same lines currently installed for a new boost gauge would the fittings/nipples be the same?

Searched like a **** for something similar but nothing came up.

the stock boost gauge tube can be used for another boost gauge

i was thinking I may just have to run an additional boost gauge like you're doing. any suggestions on a decent not so expensive gauge/location?

I don't know what size the OEM gauges are, but I think Omori makes a small gauge (< 52mm).

As far as a low cost, easy to install gauge goes, you may want to check out a GReddy boost gauge. Well, that's the one I use... you can save money by not getting the peak/hold model. GReddy has a single gauge holder that's extremely easy to install in the plastic steering column cover. Just pop off the cover, drill a few holes, and attach the mount with button head screws and nylock nuts. Let me know if you need help.

so does anybody know if mitsubishi has an "oil pressure" gauge to match the set? or maybe there is an aftermarket oil pres. gauge that looks similar to the 3 mitsu ones.
reason im asking is cuz i dont plan on upgrading my gauges in a while, but i'd move my boost gauge closer to my tach. and spedometer view and replace the opening with a matching oil pressure gauge

thanks for all the suggestions.

well went out to the car and did a little tweaking. I moved the boost gauge to the far left finally, and took a rough measurement of the gauges. they appeared to be roughly 43~44mm so figured just to order one of the nearly stock looking Omori 45mm boost gauges and see if I can't make it fit in that stock gauge panel. It seems like it shouldn't be that hard. I'll let you all know how it turns out and how crappy it looks at night with one (what appears to be really) green backlit gauge and two quasi-green backlit gauges. again though thanks all for the suggestions.

Cool man, I'm glad the Omori gauges are close. You shouldn't have a problem getting the holes opened up a millimeter.

well the omori 45mm boost gauge came in today. well unfortunately once i got the whole din slot of and got a more precise measurement the stock gauges came to about 41~42 so needless to say it was not even a close fit. but after a trip to home depot for a file and a little bit of fabrication this is what it comes out looking like. it's not the most thrilling appearance but it will serve its purpose for the mbc and still looks better imho than anything sitting on a dashboard.

at night. again appearance isn't most thrilling but I'll deal for now.

hope this helps anyone in the same situation.

when i look back I kind of wish I had put it in the middle for at least the sake of symmetry.

Hey, it works, though! Nice job, I'm glad you got it to fit.

When you're ready to move on to aftermarket gauges, you should check out the Gruppe-S / Craig Hardy panel that was just released last month. Here's a pic from my car:
