Considering the ammount of stuff you've done to your car. Not to mention the fact that you're still @$$ deep into your loan. I'd listen to everyone else and keep it. I wouldn't even bother painting it electric blue... That's money you could be using to pay off your loan.

WANT'S VS. NEEDS

think about it....

well i paid 21,995 for my evo but i traded my 00 eclipse gt and they screwed me over like 6 grand. so then i owed 28,000 then i got the extended warrany for another 2500 then tax title licence. So i fianally paid 32 or my evo i thought if i would bye a new one it would be worse because 34,000 + 6,000 would have been 40,000 it would have really been over!

That's the problem with trade-ins. You THINK you paid only 21,995 for your Evo, but you actually paid 28k plus the warranty stuff. You owe as much on that POS 03 as I do on my 05 MR. That's not good. Do NOT do this plan, because you're already in your predicament because of doing this with your previous car.

the best idea is to keep it
pay it down to what you can get a trade in value for and then get the evo 9
it will be around for at least a year

take the cash you would use for your next mods and put it torwards your loan. that and every extra dime that comes your way. if ya can put an extra 200 bux a month torward the loan it will help alot. the extra money goes straight to the principal and has a big effect

i wouldn't plan on getting 21k for that, it would be more like 15k on a trade w/ those miles. i say keep it and fix whats gotta be fixed but dont skimp out on it.

Painting the car will further devalue the car plus the money spent on the paint job.

Absolutely. Keep your present ride and do not repaint.

I would keep it and when the engine starts goin bad, throw in the 2.3. Once the turbo is bad then do a big turbo kit. And if the color really bothers you, then paint it a custom color once you have lots of dents and chips. I have an 03 gsr myself with 16k miles and owe 24,500 on it. Im sure i can trade in without being upside down but the price difference is about 6,000!!!! I can do major HP gains with that money. Im just gonna finish payin off my 8 and by that time the evo10 shalll be out. Thats the one i want. Another thing you can do is refinance your evo with a union bank and lower your payments. I was paying $497 a month with the nissan bank and now i pay $436 with city credit union bank. And thats the same amount of months too.

keep your car. its not worth it to loose that much money. I wanted to trade in my 03 for an 06 as well, but the money is where it got me. ill worry about trading in if i decide to when my car is payed off!

So you've already let the dealership bend you over one time on a trade in and your asking us if you should do it again? Am I missing something?
