This is exactly the scenario you'll be in if you trade off for a IX, if not worse.

33,000 + 7,000 neg. equity + 2,300 tax is $42,300.

wow...after reading some if this info you really should consider keeping your evo 8. Your current loan situation pretty much makes the decision for you since you are updise down on it already. Next time just do a little more homework to make sure you don't get screwed on the purchase and trade.
sounds like your current ride is pretty good why not keep it. remember that when buying your next car, you are never at the mercy of the dealers, don't let them screw you over...ever, b/c in the end you are the one in control, you are the buyer.

LoL. What's sad is, that's my interest rate on the loan I got for my WRX. Pretty good huh? You know what's even better? I'm paying that for a car I can't even drive lmao. <- Blown transmission

BTW Cutieone: Listen to the good advice......keep your evo

I love my evo8, the evo9s are great but to me its not worth trading in, atleast right now, maybe once I see some more track times I might have a different opinion.

MAN I hate 350's... They look so FREAKing sweet yet not boosted. Its like the worst tease ever. (Great looking pic!)

Good advise from the guys, like they said (and your doing) keep it, fix it and rethink this after paying some of the loan down.

I would never trade unless they give you payoff....I'd say your original trade to get the 03 hurt you, work on making double payments and stuff that will go into the principal and wont get eatin up by high interest...I would do that long before taking that kind of hit, ouch!

Just keep your VIII because 28k is a lot left for an 03 and no dealership is going to give you even close to that much unless our buddy mark sebby can hook you up. Again you can easily use the extra money to boost your VIII or pay off more of your loan...trust me if you run 12's or 11's, no ones gonna really care if you have a IX or a VIII, all they know is that you have a beast.

if you can afford the payments go for the 9. i just traded in my modded 03 8 at medina for a 06 BR 350 SILVER SSL. they gave me 21.5 for my car and got the 9 for 33.5 plus the BR package, my 8 had 23k on it.My car was payed off so i was alright, not in your financial situation but if you can afford the payments go for it you,ll be happy as hell
