I pretty much baby the car.....once in awhile I get on it to pass someone but never do I take it above redline or drop the clutch. I only bought the car as a toy. I barely drive it but when I do I continuously get reved at by idiot punks. I think you guys should keep the hard driving on the track.

Well, being a hillbilly, I treat her like we treat a perty thang here in the mountains, sweet and gentle. But on the weekends, I treat her like we treat a stranger, I make her squeel like a pig! (insert dueling banjo music here) SSUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I baby the car in the streets only go 5-10 miles over speed limit. When I am in the track I push the car to my hearts content, sometimes going over 7k and sometimes even hitting the rev limiter.

LOL. I Drive the **** out of my EVO. I shift at redline ALL the time, I launch (slip not dump) at least 3x a day and just generally flog the **** out of my EVO. I do however try not to shift TOO hard in my daily driving but I do at least a few times a day.

I look at it this way, I didint spend close to $40,000 to not drive the **** out of it. Hell if it breaks I have a backup car to drive in the meantime and I will pay to get it fixed. The fun I have with my evo every day is worth paying for anything that may break.

Everyday I get into my car and think "right, I'm going to take it slowly today. just like everybody else on the road. nice and easy". And I manage to stay that way for about 30seconds.
I drive it as hard as I can (which is a lot less than the evo can take, i'm sure), but I try to be as kind as possible on the gears and transmission.
Alas, I can only do that 4 days a week when I drive 60miles to work. The other two day i work in the city so they're really boring

If you are worried about your EVO not lasting as long as a Prius driven by an 80-year-old librarian, you should sell your car and walk to work.

for the most part i drive 10-15 mph above the speed limit (all highway, 65 mph posted). 4k is my standard shifting point. you don't see alot of Evos around this area, and i don't want to be know as "that Jackass!".
so i drive responsibile.
now thats not to say there isn't a certain on ramp on my drive home from work that doesn't hear the roar of a catless 23psi screaming silver devil" everynow and again when its late at night...

I drive mine like I stole it too. Actually last night I was spotted by three cops while doing a power slide and accellerating well over the posted speed limit. My friend called me and told me three cops saw me do that, I jumped on the highway and was gone. I dont think there has been a day in my evo where my car hasnt seen tripple digits on the speedo. I drive it hard, but I hardly launch it off the line: thats the way to save the clutch for a little while longer b4 upgrade.

I drive it hard between shifts and try not to rip my clutch a new one since i'm driving in bumper to bumper almost daily and I can almost hear it disintegrating.
