Poll---BR Packages in TX?

Like the title says, how many people would be interested in having a dealership in TX that offers the BR packages, like in OH and NJ? I'm talking with a dealership who is interested, but needs some validation that it would be worth it to them to offer these packages. If you are serious about wanting this let me know, and I can take this to the owners and try to get it to come to fruition. They are serious about this also, this isn't some wishful thinking. Please let me know

I have spoken with a large dealer in Texas about this and have them at the top of our list when we move to another state with the program.

Right now we are working hard to get everything in line for higher production. This is our only delay in expanding. Simple capacity. The guys at the shop work hard now and we are trying to streamline some things.

We just sold two more BR350 packages through Bell Mitsubishi in New Jersey. Also just did an install of a basic BR350 type package at Brad Benson Mitsubishi in New Jersey this week too. Both dealerships are overly pleased with the results and quality of the parts.

Be patient, I am pretty sure Texas is where we are going with this next.

These would be for new Evo purchases with the packages already installed.

There is lots of money to be made in Texas, I would have bought one in a heart beat if it was offered when I picked up the RS.

Since I already bought an Evo IX, I wouldn't buy another one just to get the BR IX. Like some of the other postings here, I would be very interested if the dealership supported/offered the BR upgrades. I guess my other question is: if the dealership doesn't offer the BR upgrades, what does that mean about warranty if the exact same BR parts were later added to my car by myself/another shop? Does this mean the dealership is endorsing BR parts as OEM-equivalent?

Regardless, I think this is a good idea!

This is interesting. Would dealers be saying that if we had these upgrades in our car(BR stage 1 and Stage 2) and installed correctly our warranty should not be voided or turned down.

No, not at all. This is NOT even close to what's going on. The first dealership in Ohio is honoring the warranty for the BR330/350s in their stock form and only if not abused (e.g. raced). No other Mitsu dealers are obligated to honor the warranty on the original BR packages, so other Evos who happened to install those same parts certainly aren't going to be covered by other dealerships. The best case scenario is that the other BR partner dealers are willing to cover the warranty on the BR packaged cars, but I wouldn't expect anything beyond that.

It doesn't make sense to have High performance parts installed and not be able to use it to it's potential. It's kind of like buying a car and not being able to drive it. Why else would anyone buy this package if they wouldn't use it for racing or plan on going to the race track? It would be nice if some day more dealerships started to install these BR packages without voiding warranties on a larger scale. I mean it would be nice if dealers will offer these packages without buying a new car. BR should work on something like this, i'm pretty sure it will be profitable if they worked with dealerships on installing these packages on cars that are not new. I know some EVOs are pretty beat up so there should be some type of criteria on the condition of your car before they install these packages. Just dreaming but FLAME ON about my dreams.

So that they can have an Evo with much more power than stock without any warranty concerns. This is a huge step up from having a stock Evo with no warranty concerns. It's the same for everyone with or without BR kits. If you abuse it, then the parts aren't warrantied by Mitsu, whether you're stock or have a BR package. It sucks, but that's just how it is.

Yeah, these packages definitely aren't so that people can go race without warranty worries...
