Red, I'm in total agreement with you. Since I already have an 06, buying a new car with a BR package isn't applicable to me. However, I would be very interested in having the dealership install the parts and warrantying the car. That would be ideal, not only for me, but others who already have an EVO.

Kee1pride, I don't know who voted no for this, but it's their prerogative. It would be nice if they'd post why though. Maybe they have a valid reason.

My general feeling on dealer support for aftermarket parts is that they can charge a premium in return for the peace-of-mind that they won't void your warranty on the part they installed.

I understand that it's illegal to deny warranty unless the part caused the problem, but wouldn't want to have to debate that with the dealer/Mitsubishi every time I took the car in for servicing.

Gillman San Marcos has done right by me so far, so my fingers are crossed that this deal works out!!!

Thank you for your kind words! We are trying to do the best job we can over here in San Marcos and make sure that you folks are taken care of!

This (like David said) is going to take some time to come to fruition! It will not happen overnight or within the next month! I wish it would but know that there are too many legal issues, warranty issues, etc. to be ironed out before our company will jump on top of it! I am remaining positive and will keep gathering information.

I think that if David set up a meeting with our executive officers (corporate and the Gillman's themselves) and had a detailed proposal then we may have a better shot at this. I talked with them and asked that if we could set up a meeting that they would keep a very open mind and I was promised that would be the case. Timing and patience is needed here.

It would also help if all of our forum members wrote letters to Mitsubishi Motors of North America and showed how much interest we have in this product and service!

Lets all pull together and make this a possibility not just in Texas, but across the board! It would be great to see this dream become a reality!

Best regards,

Morning Bump! Anybody else interested in this? I don't see how it could be anything but good for the consumers, going by the track record at the other dealerships offering BR packages.

Thank you for your kind words! You are a great guy as well! In fact I have only met one guy that was officially from the forum that I didnt think was stand up!

I just wish you would have taken me up on the 06 IX MR in RR! You would have been an Evo owner 2 weeks ago! Like I said, I can appreciate you being loyal to the dealership that you originally worked the deal with! If they slip up again, let me know and I will get you one of those two Evo IX MR's that we discussed!

By the way, how does that RX-8 run, I have always wanted to test drive one, but never get out of this place...lol?

Best regards,
