Read up on this board about T-bolt clamps. They're far superior to the worm-gear clamps that come from the factory that hold all the intake plumbing together.

Might be worth a try since it seems you have a bum clamp.

Now you know your problem area.Head to NAPA and buy a box of 2.5 inch T-Bolt clamps.

T-bolt clamps all around and you will be all set... I spent too many times on the road side fixing popped hoses... Tools are a MUST in the EVO...

I'm surprised no one asked this but do you have an aftermarket blow off valve. When I had my Type RS it was great for a while. Then my hose blew off. Though nothing of it put it back on. Then it was doing it again. and again so after I lost count how many times I got a t bolt clamp and recirculated it. Worked fine and then the valve went bad. Wouldn't hold boost after 15psi. Took it to greddy because they are up the street from my job and they gave me a new one. Sweet popped it back in and then the hose started to pop off again with the T bolt clamp. Put the JDM MR back in and no more problems. Go figure. Oh and I'm not the only one my friends MR with the same valve had the same stupid issue

Tbolt clamps are a really good investment. i had my IC hose from the throttle body on my sti blow off a lot, a phillips wont get it tight enough, you need something that can ratchet it down or tbolts.
