Angry IX MR Hating!!

So i was driving home on friday heading home right after work, doin about 40-45 mph when out of no where i hear this backfire-ish sound as im shifting into 4th... after that i pull over and just chill for about a min.. tryin to pray so that nothings wrong with my baby.... sure enough as i try to pull away from the curb in 1st, there seemed to be no throttle response!!! so i called mitsu and they towed my car to the nearest dealer the dealer told me they should know whats wrong with it by the end of the day.... so just that all u IX owners might want the heads up!!!

Don't sweat it until you know for sure whats wrong...your not paying anything for the tow or repair so if its minor than don't make it a big deal. The IX's are still new, there might be a couple bugs that they have to tune out of the ECU for the MIVEC. If your car is stock Mitsu will take care of you.

I thought you were gonna talk about some Civics trying to run you over roadside or something. >.>

Glad that didn't happen.

Maybe you have a leak. And thanks for the heads up. ::thumbs up::

11,000 miles on my IX and it's been running flawlessly, knock on wood. These are very reliable cars so I would expect to hear no problems.....

Same thing happened to me. I had completely lost power and pulled over. I popped my hood and noticed the clamp on the throttle body blew off. Tightened it and I was back on the road.
