APS 3.5" Exhaust system?

I debating in purchasing the APS 3.5" Exhaust system for my EVO 9 MR. Does anyone have any rubbing problems or installation problems with this kit? Also, anyone know how heavy the kit is? Tia

It fits fine you shouldnt run this unless you have a bigger turbo then stock the h/p gains wont be the same with a 3in vs this 3.5in i know a person that did the test the h/p gains where not even close to the greddy ti catback the greddy made over 10hp more then the aps. Also showing on the datalog sheets the spools was not as fast the backpresure that is needed was not all there. I wont be able to post the dyno sheets because i no longer talk to the person that did the test. But if you want to waste your money good head im letting you know the facts.

3.5" is way over kill for a stock turbo Evo. I would recommend you to save some money and stick with the 3" system. Greddy Ti is a very nice piece and its slightly bigger than 3"...maybe 1 or 2mm. Another good exhaust would be Apexi GT spec.

Thanks,
Tom

Back pressure is not really a issue with Turbocharged vehicles. The turbo creats enough back pressure on its own.

You will not see a difference from running a 3.5 or a 3" on stock turbo but if you are planning on running a 35R or bigger it will help a little.

On our sti we run the 3.5 and did see a gain with a 30R but then again that is a suby and a completely different machine.

Yeah, I was leaning towards the Greddy Ti or the APS 3.5, but I can get the APS for $1075 for a TB Exhaust system. The Greddy Ti is around $800 to $900 and that is only a Cat back system.

I dont know about the APS 3.5" but I have the APS 3" and it fits like a glove, no rubbing or vibrating anywhere.
