Question about AFTERMARKET CLUTCHES for IX MR

I have a new ACT clutch sitting in my garage, just incase the stock one on my Evo 8 GSR goes out.

Now im probably going to be trading my 8 in for an IX MR in a month or so.

My question is, would that same ACT clutch fit on the evo IX MR?

Is there any difference between clutches for GSR's and MR's?

And will the 8 clutch work on the evo 9?

let me know

thanks in advance!

I would think that it's the same clutch. I did some product searches on prostreetonline for evo clutches, and they have the ACT as 2003 and up.....the reason I searched was becasue I wanted to see if there was a difference between the 03 and the 05 given the changes that were made between those years.

I could be completely wrong, but one way to find out ,would be to ask the parts department at the mitsu dealer if they have the same clutch. I wouldn't tell him about the ACT or anything like that and just say "Are the evo 8 and evo 9 clutches the same part number?"

That might not work. Sometimes changes are made from year to year or mid year. The two may be interchangeable, but could have different part numbers.

Thanks for the reply 4TUN8

And thanks for the compliments guys

Alby, i've been thinking hard about which color to get, and since i'm only wanting an MR, i'm limited to choose between 4 colors obviously. I really wanted graphite before, but now I see SOOO many people getting it, that it turned me off towards it.

Then I was thinking silver, but i dont think silver suits me, although it looks real nice.

Now im really debating between red and white, the red is VERY rare (atleast for the IX MR's), and with a bodykit or something, it REALLY stands out REALLY nicely. And i'm sure most of my parts off the white evo will match nicely on the red evo. However on the downside, red is a VERY flashy color, and well the cops will notice it a lot. I had enough trouble with cops with my white evo lol.

But to be honest, i think i'm PROBABLY going to end up going with a white MR. I just love the white too much hehe..

sorry for the long rant..

i'd bet it would work since ACT ttold me the flywheels are the same for the VII-IX gsr,mr, or rs and since the clutch for an 8 works on an 8 MR with the same trans as the 9 MR.

lol

wicked white is igloo white
igloo white is the name of the paint code W37
W37 is used for other white mitsubishi vehicles, which in turn have different white names
but all still use the same paint code W37
