question about airbags
The guy was trying to explain this to me at the dealer because mine didn't go off in my accident a few weeks ago, either. It all depends on the angle of the colision. It has to be within 45 degrees or something. At any rate, you probably didn't need the airbag to go off did you? I didn't, that's probably why it didn't go off for us. Be thankful it didn't. that's like another couple grand to replace it.
When air bags are deployed is stated in your car user manual. I recall reading it and a side hit is not one of them. So just go and open your glovebox, read those 5 pages about air bags and it will tell you all that you want to know. Sorry, I don't recall the page numbers at the moment...
well my damage was pretty hard.. i went into a wall going backwards but sliding towards the wall on the passenger side and the front part hit first and the rest of the passenger side collided. Then i went into a a spin, and then when it fully stopped a fed ex truck nailed me on the driver side.
So i dont know.. It was pretty hard ..
