I'm looking to put a roof rack on my 2005 Evo MR, I'd like to put a surfboard on there every once and a while. What would you suggest? I don't want the rack to damage my roof or paint. I would highly appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks!!

Mitsu also has a roof rack that they make specifically for the EVO. Found this in the Japanese website of Mitsu. costs around $145++

the yakima is the best bet beacuase it doesnt sit on the roof itself but more on the door frame so no denting to the aluminum roof i have it on my 06 mr works great

How do you guys pick which Yakima rack? Aren't there a bunch of different ones for different cars? I went on a couple of Yakima sites and they specify Lancer but not Lancer Evo (same size? same rack?) Thanks guys.

 

yakima or saris racks will work with the alum. roof.
