Thinking about purchasing an evo

Long time reader first time poster. There is a 05 Evo RS sitting at the dealership here in town, been there since august. 3700 miles and they will go down to 25,500. I am friends with the manager of the used cars there and thats as low as they say they can go with it. Only thing is that i know the car has been driven hard, but it is a 05 with low miles. It is used as a ride for the cars salesmen to go to lunch in and a few of my buddies have taken it out for test drives and the salesman didn't go with them so i know its been raped. i've driven it twice now and it drives great, clutch seems good, brakes stop on a dime and pulls hard, exterior is mint. Should i consider this car, offer them something lower or forget about it all together?

thanks for any input

Ask who drove it the first 500 miles for break-in. That's where I would be worried. Good break-in and your good to go! Good luck.

The tough part is you won't know wether it is "good" or not unless you buy it. Miles aren't too bad.

$25,500 I think you can get them to go lower if you tried. There was an 05' EVO VIII RS for sale here in California for $23,900 with only 8,000 miles on it. I think you could get him to drop it to atleast $25,000, if your lucky $24,500.

As far as $25,500 being fair, I think it is, but it's not a killer deal, if that's what the dealer is trying to tell you, there have been cheaper 05 VIII RSs for sale, I would say $25,500 is average.
