Evo 8....Next WRX?

Was thinking about the price of used Evos. 03s are going for low to mid 20s with higher mileage.
Sure hope it doesn't turn into the next WRX, where all the younger kids who can't afford the car when they were new. They are driving them cuz they are cheap or cheaper as time goes. i.e. the Honda 'ricers' (not being racist.....)

I don't have a good feeling about this, I can see alot of accidents that will happen due to recklessness or can't handle the power. (of course not all young kids can't drive) thus driving the insurance up for everyone.

Just a thought....

YEAH, but its not as bad as the WRX. They (evos) are holding their value well, and they are still mostly in the 20's price wise.

Yeah , i understand you guyes concern but i don't think it would be a horrible thing if they did become cheaper. Aside from the potential for motor accidents it will simply drive the demand of the vehicle up and lower the overall price if people keep buying them, making parts cheaper in the long run of things. But if people want to hit the ground running let them buy a used one, they'll either learn the hard way to respect speed or crash. They should have to put magnetic L's on their cars like in Europe to make everyone aware that they are LEARNING .

too bad those who can barely afford to buy a used '03 don't remember to budget for a new clutch, set of tires, and brake pads.

yeah, they won't afford to mod and maintain them, then we'll have a bunch of Evos out on the roads getting their asses kicked and no more respect
