While I'm glad that my car isn't running dangerously lean like his, I'm a bit displeased that I'm running so rich - my car could have been tuned for more power while still being safe.

I try and target 11.2 - 11.5 afr .. if your car goes to 10.9 .. 11.0 ..there is nothing wrong with that... If the car was noisy on the dyno .. i'll add a bit more fuel. First i've heard of this .. the car was tuned right.

As few days of driving it on the street revealed a slew of problems with knocking in almost every gear. I called them to ask what they were going to do for me and they said, "Well, can you turn your boost down?" (I was boosting 22-23 psi.. stock STi turby's are only efficient up to like 19psi) I told them that I didn't pay $350 and drive 3 hours to have to turn the boost down myself, to which they responded, "well, it's hard for me to turn your boost down from New Jersey, guy."

Gee, thanks Turbo Trix.. I'm going to get tuned at KTR within the next couple weeks.
So after a few days ..your car has a slew of problems.. ? Did something happen ? Did a wastegate line come off ? Odd it was fine when it left. Was this a flash or utec car ? and running 23psi of boost .. is pretty much impossible for an sti... the stock turbo wont even make that. With that being said, are you sure you spoke with me on the phone ? I normally dont speak with customers during the day. And 350 .. is not a utec tune price nor a ecutek price. .soo im a bit confused. What kind of boost contoler do you have ? Again this is the first i've heard of this .. soo im glad you wrote your post instead of contacting mike or myself... Good luck at KTR

Previously I had been flashed by Al and was very impressed. Ill be giving him a call in the next few weeks for a retune.

You are assuming that your wideband is accurate and mine is off, I've seen many " new " sensors read wrong, which wideband was it ? I dont tune to low 12's .. so either my wideband was off at the time or your new one is. Would of been an easy fix, had you called, or pm'd with your concern. I replace those sensors about 3x's a week.. Im sure al will take care of you for your retune.. Good luck

P.S. Since i run your secondary fuel mapping very rich.. Your dangerous condition.. that you say you had .. would of yielded a 10.0 afr .. had your car knocked..

how can it possibly take 2 hours to tune a car with bolt-ons? I guess if people don't know what they are doing, it would take 2 hours..

This thread is over a year old. Someone bumped it earlier this week, I doubt anything in it is accurate at all (save for your posts today).

I have gone out of my way twice now, just so I could have them custom tune my evo custom twice now. Both times extremely happy with the results. TT hands down gets my vote as favorite vendor!

YOU posted the complaint originally.. i guess you care? And who's mind's am I trying to change? After the last 3 years of tuning evo's, no tuner needs 2 hours to tune a car with bolt ons.
