I had a full custom tune by Turbotrix on my old Evo and was always happy. Great power and better drivablity, which is a huge factor when modding any car.

Honestly, I wasnt satisfied with the experience nor outcome. They installed cams and dyno tuned the car over the summer. Recently I installed a wideband and found the car to be running dangerously lean- low/mid 12s at WOT. There was no road test after the tune and the car was 'done' after only ~4 pulls on the dyno. Previously I had been flashed by Al and was very impressed. Ill be giving him a call in the next few weeks for a retune.

I'm with you, my timing was all messed up after they flashed it. Your lucky you got 4 pulls they only gave me 3 and said it was done.

There is no standard amount of pulls when tuning a car. 4 pulls is more then enough IMO, especially if it's bolt ons that are common....the tuner will have a general idea of how it's done.

As for the wideband....I had a similar thing happen and I thought similar things....turns out the 94 octane I thought I was running wasn't even close to 94 octane, and switching to 93 at a different gas station made my tune more normal.

When you have one tuner set aside 2 hours to tune each and every car and another who only does 3 to 4 pulls something is wrong.

Ive tried all types of gas and the readings stay the same. Only 93 around here.

Did you bring it up to TurboTrix to see what they'd say?
