The district reps are the ones making most of the warranty deniles; they work for Mitsubishi (the company) not the dealers. My Brembo's were denied with 32,000 miles with no explanation other than "the district rep said NO". And no, I have never tracked my car.

This is exactly what I know is going to happen because most of the service reps tell me that the district manager down here is a straight up Pr**k

There is a fix for peeling brembos, you will have to search for that answer, but it's pretty cheap. No reason for the dealer to be involved.

As for the wing, don't know what to tell you except that maybe you should buy one of those ricer aftermarket wings or go wingless.

outside of that, if you've talked to corporate and they said no, then the answer is no.
so true...you can always try different dealerships. My advice in the future is go in for a few oil changes, parts, or something like that prior to the warranty claim, get on a first name basis with the service manager before problems begin. Lot harder to deny someone you have a relationship with....

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks people are stupid for getting pissed about the car being OUT OF WARRANTY and things not being covered under warranty. Mitsu is not the only company out there that tells there customers "i'm sorry that ____ is not covered, you are out of warranty. It doesn't matter how much you paid or to who. It's either covered or it's not. Please stop whining.

OK, some of you are getting warranty refused by Mitsu while still under warranty period but I don't understand why this guy is complaining when he is out of the warranty period. If you have an 03, your warranty is only 3 YEARS/36k MILES, which ever comes first.

Peeling brakes? You guys need to quit snivling. They're brakes and you're being a bunch of posers. Do the brakes work? Yes? Then stop whining about the paint.

And that was my biggest gripe. The inconsistency. Why is the coverage so selective.... and it is not from the dealers, it is coming from MMNA. I tried nicely for over 1/2 year and they denied me.

I'm not going to bore people, but if you want details, see this thread. I even posted a reply that was sent to me from district rep (post 406):
