Most of the cool parts of that show were the cars we don't have here and the British hosts. Now if Spike would ever step up and have a Horsepower TV for tuner cars I think the ratings bonanza would be on!Tom

This is the OLD rehash US version. NOT the new US Topgear.
Basically, they took old UK shows and reedited them together with some new in studio dialog to make a hand full of US Topgear's as a test to see if there would be an audience for a 100% US version. They took out the more UK/Euro centered parts (Celebs in a reasonably priced car, the news, Clarkson making US jokes etc) to make room for the commercials.
If you have never seen the full UK version, they are much better than the crappy rehash version. However they aren't broadcast here so you need to hunt them down online. However, if you can find it, it's one of, if not the best car show on TV. We'll have to wait and see about the new US version. Something to keep in mind is that in the UK, it airs on the BBC, which is government funded (ie, no commercials). This means that they can drive a new car, say it sucks and you can by such and such a car that's better and cheaper and not loose any sponsors.
