Watching old ladies doing donuts in an S2000 is freakin hilarious! I caught the later half of the first show.

I have the 04' and 05' seasons on my computer and I am not really pleased with the US edits. They have even taken out the filters that give the video that cool tint.

When you've watched the original BBC versions, the US edit is just plain horrid. Way too many freakin commericals, content strewn all over the place in a non-linear manner and so on. Wish TG would air on BBC America... but fat chance of that happening.

i would love for discovery to make a show visiting various tuners as they work on projects. The AMS black car, Twin Charged Evo, build up/howto etc.. That would be a good 6+ episodes. As long they get some cool hosts they can't fail.

one thing that pisses me off with the current shows like overhauling and rides is they never show the car running. 50 minutes of build up for the stupid ride and they never show what it can do. its just one long **** tease!!!!

It's not a tint you are noticing. It's actually the frame rate of the video. I noticed that Discovery is running at TG UK at 30p, whereas the BBC runs it at a cine-like 24p. That's what you are noticing. Also, BBC runs a 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio whereas Discovery cuts it at 4:3. They could have letterboxed it. Guess they were lazy.

Yeah that truck they smashed into the walls, trees, drown, set a fire and oh yeah -- put on top of a building that was imploded -- and it STILL is running! AMAZING!
