im not going to sit here and give you the reasons i traded in my g35 6mt for my evo ix w/ssl, but with the amount that i have to start modding my ix with the heavy sunroof and crappy audio and all the other reasons that you guys think the mr is better, i'm almost 100% positive ill take you on the track and the twisties...... so i really love my sunroof? gotta problem? It is personal preference, go hate somewhere else kind sir~

anyway, thanks to those that reply with a response that actually pretains to my question!~

huge difference in price between the two, and i wanna keep the cost down. did not even bother asking about the SSL package. im contented with the IX. and the car is fast enough, i don't need the 6th gear for cruising. plus i like the look of the enkei's than the bbs. hehe

 

If I were you I would consider going to a driving school if you want to take people on the track and 'twisties.' If you are a poor driver, then no modifications will make up for it.

I got a whole extra gear.... a realllllllllllllllly realllllllly cool gray graphite-ish type color with rims to match.... also i have a wonderfull MR emblem, and guess what 90 percent of the time i drive im on the highway, and also about another 90% i do not see my needle under the 90mph meter.... and ill tell you what i will sacrifice that other 10 percent for having an extra gear, not includingggggg all the other bawd awwwzz shiaaaaat my evo MR has that your non-MR does not btw if your worried about a sun-roof.... trade your evo in for a cadillac.... *WHATS UP PPL IM A NEW MEMBER JUST GOT MY MR AND LOVE IT LOL.... SRY JUST HAD TO STICK UP FOR MY BABY *

 

Extra gear and Bilstein's pushed me toward the MR. That, and the fact that I am going to wait a little while before I mod...

 

I am just saying I have seen cars beat by cars with considerable less horsepower, all because the driver was much more skilled.

 

Yea Definetly had to go with the MR 9, as you can see to your left over newbie. Love the car and love Evolutions, no matter what you get your still a winner in my book. Just dont get something that starts with S and ends with a TI and you should be good.

 

I took the IX because it came in Black if the MR came in black i would choose the MR...but I am happy with my IX. Six speed and all the other goodies is great as well. YOu can't go wrong with either one. Just be happy with what you have.

 

I love my 9. The only reason why I would get the mr is for the extra gear for gas mileage but it is overpriced IMO. I coud care less about the gauges and the cf e brake or those top diffusers.

 

exclusivity and retention of value....the MR will do well in that department.

 

I only went for the MR because i KNEW they were going to deal on it. They had it for almost 3 months, and it was the end of Jan on a SUNDAY, they are never open on sundays(unless they are really desprite for some sales). Plus if i was going to buy a powermonster, might as well be the best trim package... becuase if i ever did line up to another evo i would like to have the advantage.+Suspension is awesome!
