500whp
How safe and reliable is it to have 500whp on a daily driver or should i set my goal a little lower i want as much as possible but still not have to worry about s**t breaking left and right also what would be my best plan for it
In most cases, 500whp will not be a very streetable and reliable daily driver. If you want a hassle-free Evo that can be driven all day, everyday, yet still be fast, I'd shoot for 380-400whp on the stock turbo, stock ECU, stock internals, and stock drivetrain by doing the mods in my sig plus cams and LICP.
That is pretty much my same target....I have a new IX MR and would like to see ~420 + whp.....Right now I am putting down 300 whp with just a flash and MBC....
I think I will need an exhaust and cams and may come close....Would rather not swap out the turbo [at least just yet].....
Good luck....

To get to 500 whp on a daily driver would likely be due to a big ole turbo kit. This means gobs of power up top, but nothing until about 4800 - 5000 rpm. That sucks while driving around town.

I have the ams3071 kit with all supporting mods. It spools up great and without alchy Im a little over 400whp. However I just ordered something bigger with a stroker
. More power to come and for the record no problems at all with my current setip.

Just down shift if you need power. I think the big turbo lag issue is over-rated. If you need more power just gear down and go.
