I didn't know anything about putting down anybody as a reference. If it would've helped you out in some respect, I wish I would've known.

Is this some Mitsubishi incentive thingy?

I had no credit when i bought my lancer (my first car) as i am from england... So i had to eat 30% on the financing from a drivetime dealer i only got that cause I had a cosigned credit card which is almost impossible to get now....LOL....LOL did that for 1 year.... now I have good credit and refinanced to 10%...

When you have no credit you get treated just like you have bad credit the difference is that it is easier to build credit than it is to get rid of bad credit

Yeah ... reference gets you a $100, I'm trying to work out a few things with the dealership to help us EVO owners. Discount on parts, etc ... Did you know Metro is moving to a new location in March? Sorry ... out of thread.

BTW, I'm kinda surprised at the dealership in Overland Park, KC. When I was looking for a MR with Metro, Overland had 3 in their dealership and wouldn't trade with Metro for other cars. They told Metro they were taken. Meanwhile when I called Overland Park they were trying to sell them to me. Metro ended up ordering me one from Japan. Months down the road, Overland Park wasn't able to sell all 3 of their MRs, so they called me offering the MRs in Silver for $500 off MSRP and the GG one for full MSRP ... because of the color ...
I just made Metro price match, bought from them and have been happy since ... Good Luck and I'll PM you guys about having an EVO/DSM dynoday ...

Well this kind of dashes my hopes I was having. I too am local in KC and will be evo shoping in a bout a month. I have been keeping my eyes on the south coast deals hoping to land a close price to what they are offering local. From the sounds of this thread proably will not happen. Won't help either that I am going through my credit union on the loan. Any one recomend any good midwest dealers that won't give me to much hassle at landing an MR near invoice? Not to mention I want a specific color. Sheesh you would think some lots would just be happy to sell cars...guess I am wrong.

This will be my first time buying a brand new car as well, as much as I want an evo the thought of buying brand new and having to deal with a stealer$hip is not that exciting at all.

I thought that with a co-signer they dont look at your credit they look at the co-signers credit?? can some one clear this up for me

Also if the dealership doesnt want to work with you when your walking around with that much cash in the bank, F-them... they need your buisness you dont need theres. Keep that in your mind.
