I can't say anything else that hasn't been mentioned already.

But out of curiosity, let us know what the dealership says(whenever they're done) cause I'm curious to see what the issue was myself.

A quick update is that there is no update. The dealer has had the car for over two weeks now and still hasn't diagnosed the problem.
They have set me up with a dodge neon rental. It is the sxt model. Lucky me.

Dude, I suggest you go back to the dealer inspect all the clamps to see if any of them came loose. I am willing to bet money thats the problem, its just that they are a bunch of lazyasses.

Did you check your mileage before you took the car in, hope so.

+1 ... Ive had several instances where the dealer couldnt figure out what is wrong/how to fix it, so I just went in and had to show them

Wow. That's pretty pathetic.

That's about all I can say.

+1. It probably was a clamp. It has happened to all of us. They probably fixed it on day 1 and then started test driving it. Always write down your milage before you turn your keys over.

Like everyone else said. intercooler clamps or BOV. Your boost is leakin somewhere. As for dealerships, they suck. I used to work for a few. They could care less about your car. Its all about the sale.

Happened to me many times! listen to the previous posts. the IC pipe. mine was at the throttle body 2X, and the drivers side IC pipe 4X, and the IC pipe under the airbox 1X, and yes, I did get stronger clamps!!! It could be a broken/cracked IC hose also, but the way it happened, I SAY IC HOSE blew off!!!!

And only caring about the sale has to do with the service department how?

Take the car back, make a boost leak tester and fix it yourself...

Exactly. Service department is a business all their own. They make nothing off the sale of a car.

My friend had to show a mitsubishi tech at his dealer how the tranny came out when they replaced his clutch/replaced grinding gears.

Just found out yesterday, it's making death noises now. The dealer won't honor their own repair because he wanted an aftermarket clutch instead of another weak factory unit. He isn't a kid and doesn't abuse/drag the car either. He was so upset at the decision he went next door and traded the evo(05) in for a Rubicon, so he can tow his 4-wheeler out to the woods.
