He gets calls from all over the country from guys that are having this kind of trouble. What is the name of the dealership? Is the car under warranty?

I've heard a rumor that they lose their service rating if they have to get outside assistance so a dealer will only use help as a last resort. I don't know how true that is though.
I don't think they will respond well to outside phone calls for help. It might make the problem worse.
Did you check the boost return line up near the intake manifold. I had that one pop off and scare the crap out of me. Just had to reattach it. You wouldn't notice it either. If you want a pic let me know. I can send one of where im talking about.

5 weeks? That sucks!

after a while it did throw a misfire code
well, i have a evo IX , so the o2 sensors aren't in stock because it's so new, assuming if they're different from the 8's. it's so lame...

UPDATE:
I just got my car back yesterday. Three weeks! Still not sure exactly what was wrong. The dealer claims that a piece of tape I had wrapped my BR lower IC pipe in to help keep a seal got sucked into the system and caused the problem. Suspicous. They didn't show me any paper work and didn't charge me so I wasn't in the mood to ask many questions.
List of things they screwed up; my BOV was on backwards, my AC doesn't work because they severed a line, my boost controller was set at full boost (found this out on the highway while passing 25 psi!), my remote start/ turbo timer is no longer working, my Hi-Flow CAT is now giving me codes (think this is due to the carbon build up in the exhaust).
All in all I'm glad to have the car back. It also looks like they replaced the ECU which means I have to get this new one flashed again, don't feel like asking because they assumed the ECU was just set wrong and replaced it.
