when people go to get tuned it should not matter whether you have a mbc or not. If you get tuned with stock boost lines and take out the little restrictors it should be the same exact thing. Everyone with mbc are doing alot better on the graphs when getting tuned. I believe this is because when your car is getting tuned its hitting 23 psi because they temporarily turn it up, then turn it down to get high numbers for their company. Any replies on this, and do you think a mbc is really needed when getting tuned.

A MBC is useful while tuning because sometimes you can make more horsepower at a lower boost level then a higher boost level. Every car responds and acts differently to mods which will help the tuner tune the boost to the correct A/F with out blowing the car up from over boosting or boost spike. I think a MBC is very useful and is a great mod to have just my .02$

most people get a MBC when they get tuned because

1. They can raise it by a couple psi, and tune for that

2. The MBC usually reduces some of the boost taper at high RPMs

3. If they run high octane/race fuel, they can raise the boost higher with the MBC

You have not tried to get any warranty work done yet have you evo8rcr.

To answer your question you are wrong and really need to look thru this site and learn about how your factory BCS and a MBC work. Good luck and happy searching

Back on topic:

The man reason I put an MBC on my car was to turn the boost DOWN...................After I installed the DC 3" DP with cat delete the boost was spiking to 24-25psi. The MBC was used to turn it back down to 21ish PSI

I had this paranoid friend of mine who was a junkie "he is a low level attorney in Milwaukee" he thought that a millionaire who he had never met was secretly judging him to see if he was good enough to leave his fortune too.
