i paid 27k for my 03gsr, as wrxem stated some extras are nice to have for a daily driver. i dont feel lke i am sacrificing any performance because its fast as is. just my 2 cents

Haha! That makes zero sense but it made me laugh. You could have ended that post with "where's the MR" or "where's the STi" and it would have been just as ridiculous. You know, those titanium exhausts have been known to fit on the RS just as well as the GSR/MR.

evo9rs

I have a 9 rs and I have to say it is wonderful.. I will say I would not recommend it for everyone.. It is loud and has no creature comforts.. But that is what I like the best about it.. Its like jumping into a race car everyday of my life.. If you enjoy comfort at all dont buy this car.. I on the other hand wouldnt dream of owning anything else.. The RS is the ultimate EVO.. IMO

You know i did not think it was possible...but there are dumb evo owners at least dumb sounding....and u were serious with this comment...what a COMPLETE idiot. Wheres the RS it would prolly be right beside u if not in front of u....even with ur Ti exhaust u prolly still arent that much faster than the RS...and u made it sound like the RS sucks...there is alot ppl i know that have evo who wish they got the RS.

+1... I have an '04 RS and I love it, but I know it may not be for everyone. The car is just as fun if not even more fun than the GSR / MR models, and you can have it for a good amount less. I don't need or want any power options.

What's funny is that so many cars now days have all types of high tech gadgets and luxory items like GPS, rearview cameras, bluetooth technology, heated seats / steering wheels, etc. These are the types of things that I am so NOT interested in, and part of the reason I love my RS so much is the fact that it has NONE of those stupid options / acessories.

I was looking at the new Acura RL at the auto show a few weeks ago and this sales guy was telling me about how it's so cool because you can put cruise control on, then if it detects you getting close to another car, it will slow you down. It's crap like this that I would NEVER want in a car. That's pretty much just a step away from having some kind of stupid auto pilot.

Anyhow, it's just my opinion that the RS is such a cool car. I know some people don't wanna roll down their windows manually and/or have to lock / unlock the car without the help of keyless entry, so the GSR or MR may fit you better if this is the case. I'm quite happy with my RS and have no regrets at all!

That was only in 04, all 05 and 06 Evos have the same diff as the 04 RS.

im in the process of getting the rs now, 1st was cause i dont like the wing, 2nd i like the fact that i can get an evo for a lil less, 3rd most of my cars have had power nothing!

hell almost all of them had no AC! and let me just add when a power item breaks it aint cheap if your out of warranty....

what really matters to me is performance, if i can have it for a little less than normal thats a bonus, im not gonna miss anything im not used to having anyway...

power options are nice but this car is no caddy and that what i love...

My MR is a daily driver and I don't think I could live without power locks/windows, abs and the wing (a love hate relationship for me). Granted I paid more money than any RS owner, but it was worth it for my situation. BTW, my car is loud as **** with exhaust, intake, BOV and rides like a tank now that I have Coilovers. My weekend warrior side ruined the nice riding quite car it was to what it is now.

So props to all who saved money and got an RS, but I would take my MR over an RS for a daily driver everytime. Track car or fun car, not daily driver,, would go RS route too probably.

I love my RS, I got the first one in CO. I remember reading Automobile, Jan 04 issue...the Car of the Year issue with a silver GSR on the front. Near the end of the article was a little blurb about the RS coming to america, and there was the picture of a red one. Went to the dealer the very next day, early Feb 04, and gave them 500$ and said get me one. Picked it up August 13 04 Been in love ever since. I bought the car strictly for autocross, but I still love driving it around town the few times a month it comes out. I dont mind unlocking it with a key, or rolling down my windows by hand. Its a nice feeling when those who are in the know recognize you've got something special. Although the wingless look is very popular around here, so I dont stand out all that much from other EVO's
