yet another funny story... this time 7:30 this morning!

ok so u guys herd my story last ngiht about how i got pulled over for illegal exhaust when my exhaust is stock...

well today on my way to work at 730 this morning i get stopped for a front tag... not a problem... well the cop goes to run my tag number and it comes up for a camaro (my last car.. the car i traded in 3 weeks ago for the evo...).. i sed officer i had a camaro i traded it in for this and we switched the tags over... and he goes back to his car so i call my dad and tell him whats going on and he rushes up top where i am now... he gets there and right after another cop pulls up so now im sitting across the street from my work! with 2 cop cars behind me... the cops were threatening to arrest me for stolen tags... but finally my dad got through to them and they told me to just take the car home and park it and get it straightened out ASAP... i got a 100dollar ticket for not having a front tag which the dealership is paying... but wtf i paid to have my tags switched over and the dealership sed they did it and here i am 3 weeks later getting pulled over and almost being arrested for stolen tags!! what u guys think about that??

That sucks. I don't think the local police like you very much. I never get pulled over for not having front plates but then again I don't drive an Evo, and I live in Las Vegas.

Evo9Kid: Hello, officer.
Officer: Do you know why I stopped you?
Evo9Kid: No, sir.
Officer: You're car is illegal in the United States.
Evo9Kid: Sir, I just got this from the dealership.
:: Cop hits you in the face, pulls you out of your car, slams knee into the back of your head, repeatedly kicks you in your back ::
Officer: STOP RESISTING ARREST!!!

That's whats going to happen next time dude, be careful. I seriously think they don't like you. Either that or some kid you had issues with in high school is one of their sons and he was like "Daddy daddy pull over the kid in the Evo! He made fun of me!"

WHY????

they pulled him over this time for no front plate (legit)
they then ran his plates and they came up for a different car (legit as the update was lagging).

why are the cops at fault here again???

Why would the dealership be responsible for this? Do they not put front tag brackets on the front of all their cars? Is it not your responsibility to put your tag on you own car?

In some states it is the customer's responsibility to go down to the dMV with their paperwork to have a tag swapped over to a new car. Does this apply to wherever you live? Or is the dealer supposed to handle that too?

the dealership had to order the tag bracket and when i bought the car i specificly sed make sure the tag is on the front of the car when i pick it up... they sed they would take care of the ticket...
