Radar detectors and Car Seats?
Yea like that makes any since....lol Allow me to explain...
Question about radar detectors:
I have a Passport X50 and I've noticed that he cord is rubbing scratches on my dash near the temperature controls. It did this on my 03 and now I've noticed it on my new 06 Evo. Is anybody else getting this? I was thinking about maybe making a cloth wrap to go around the cord anybody tried this?
And question about car seats:
What are you guys with kids putting down under your car seats to keep from messing up the leather on the new IX seats? I've got blankets under and behind mine. It looks umber ghetto but better that then rubbing leather.

Mount the radar detector higher on the window (mine is near the rear view mirror) and the cord wont rub, at least it doesnt with my valentine. I dont have leather seats but I put a towel under the car seat because its thinner than a blanket and seams to not let the seat move around as much. If there is too much padding under the car seat it isn't as stable.

+1 on the not stable. I went to putting putting the car seat behind the passanger seat because putting it on the middle was just to loose. My daughter was going all over the place lol.

You dont have to take the dash apart, you just need to remove the a-pillar. You can wire it in easily with an old black phone cord and some wire taps from radioschack (dont need to cut wires). Its even easier if you have SSL as you can tap into wires running up the a pillar to the roof.

This one is a bit involved

I have info bookmarked at home with the simpler details. PM me if interested. (it is really easy and looks good when done.

Take your car to the local audio shop and have them mount it near the rear view and hard wire it to your car. I had this done in my old car and it rocked, only cost me like $15 for the install.
