That's ron, your 95 is equal to our 89.

If you're really worried about it you could run 10% toluene mixed with your gas and that would raise your octane to about 91. Not sure if that would be cheaper than what you're faced with now, but it sounds like it.

Just pump a couple of liters off base and then top it off with the 90 octane you have. Then you will have higher than 90 octane.

Make sure you know what octane measurement you are talking about though. The US uses a average AKI/RON measurement. Overseas a lot of the countries use only a RON measurement so their octane is a higher # than what we have in the US.

Well here in Alaska we only have the highest of 90 octane available. Our 92 octane left us back in August 2004.

This place sucks sometimes

Might have to get alcohol injection to compensate for ****ty octane....

The manual may encourage using 93. It could only improve performance, but the motor is designed to run on 91. 93 isn't available everywhere and Mitsu isn't that silly to make a car that only runs on gas available in select areas.

in my country we have 95 ron which is 89-90 mon what i do is i fill her up and add an octane booster just to be on the safe side also use octane boosters that increase full numbers, not the ones that increase points and when i dont add octane i just lower my boost!
