Just got my evo IX GG few questions!

Hey guys,

Im new to the forum, I used to be in the more honda acura scene. I had a fully built integra gsrturbo pulling about 500whp. To many problems with that car so I wanted a nice stock fast car. I decided to go with the evo.

I am really enjoying the evo so far but I have a few questions.

I was searching on the forums for a thread that went over what would void the warranty and stuff but couldnt find one. I want to get exhaust but I dont want to void the warrranty and I have heard that the warranty sucks ***. One other thing will rims void my shock warranty haha stupid question but looks like the warranty sucks.

I got the 100,000 mile warranty with my car beh.

I want to do some mods but I do not want to void my warranty. Any info would be helpful.

Another question is the traction control on the evo 9 how it has snow gravel and tarmac. What should you hve it on when it rains and stuff..

Thanks and Im happy to be apart of this forum... O ya im proud to say that I am 19 and I bought my evo brand new with my own money CONGRATS TO ME

Ill get pictures up soon.

Hey man, congrats on the new purchase. I don't know how long you've searched but there are tons of threads discussing aftermarket mods and warranties. Your best bet is to go up to the service manager at your dealership and ask what they will allow you to do. Otherwise it's all speculation from there as everyone here is gonna give you different answers, so this will save you the headache of getting misinformation and for getting flamed. Good luck with the car bro!

Your car should have came with a sticker on the drivers door explaining the ACD. Use the gravel setting in the rain.

Congratulations on the evo! Awesome car any way you slice it. About the warranty though --- you can do rims, maybe even a drop with whatever exterior cosmetics you like, no problemo, but once you mess with the powertrain in any way --- flash, mbc, clutch, cat-less exhaust, cams, you name it --- don't expect any help from mitsu if you break it. You simply pay to play.

anything you add will void the warranty according to some mitsu dealers.

just mod the stuff that you can return to stock before taking it back to the dealer for work
