I have a little I-Pod docking station that plugs into the cigarette lighter plug. I just pop my I-Pod in there... tune it (and my radio) to 89.7... and I'm good to go. The sound is pretty good. I could go for 2 week long drives and never hear the same song twice.

As an interesting side-effect... anybody that happens to be tuned to 89.7 within a about 100 yards of me can hear my music too (because I'm basically a mobile broadcasting tower). I tested this out with some friends... in a parking lot we all tuned to the same channel and we were blasting my I-pod music through about 5 different car soundsystems.

It would be cool to have a bumper sticker saying "EVO Radio 89.7". But aint no sticker gonna touch my EVO's bumper.

So if you ever see a Silver EVO in Northern Jersey... tune into 89.7 and see what I'm bobbing my head to. (Probably: System of a Down, Weezer, Primus, Tool, Tom Waits, Bad Brains, Funkadelic, The Strokes... or something similar).

Would have liked: (1) better floor mats, (2) michelin pilot sport ps2 tires, (3) smoother
engine, (4) soul sounding exhaust like Volks r-32, or similar. Most of these can be
addressed through mods.

i would love the JDM console with the nav and the auto climate control in the bottom din slot.

Folding rear seats would be nice, but there really wouldnt be much point because of the two bars that run diagonally behind the seatback. Those bars are there for structural rigidity, thats why reg lancers have folding rear seats(or so i was told)

How about that ugly-*** non-guage that says "Lancer"? I know it's got idiot lights but couldn't it have been oil temp or boost?

Low rent.

What little nit-picky thing would you change about the Evo?

I put 49,000 miles on my 03 EVO 8 and just traded in for a new EVO9 MR. The engineer that designed the EVER GLOWING GREEN ACD DASHBOARD LED should be hung by his ******* (gravitational castration)...talk about a constant distraction.

Also...I love my new MR...but the factory "sport guage cluster" is a JOKE. Too low to see...and too brightly lit to not be another heinous distraction on an otherwise amazing vehicle. I'm definitely going to have them "deleted."

4. Power trunks
5. Stock alarm
6. Fold down seats
7. Same color gauge cluster lights as climate control and head unit
8. Easier adjustable driver/passanger seats
9. Relocate cup holders (If i have a straw in my drink i get stabbed everytime i go to shift)
10. No tacky different colored pillars

Definitely cruise control. Maybe a remote trunk opener thing. Other than that, it's a fantastic daily driver.

Like people have said before, crappy armrest material and floormats. The seats may be a pain in the **** to adjust, but you can adjust them to the mm. You may not believe me, but I swear that 1mm can make me comfortable. I used to hate not being able to find the perfect spot in my old cars with the lever style adjustment, but now with the knob style in the Evo, I think I'm in love.

Oh yeah, cupholders again, guages hard to see in bright daylight, could care less about cruise control (what's so special?), the long antenna, don't like the enkeis but they're cool in their own right I guess, stock tail lights (yuk!), emblem that says *Lancer* Evolution (please leave the lancer out of it, is that so hard?), and... Nothing else, this car is great!
